Counseling is a dynamic, collaborative & interactive process between therapist and client(s). It is based on trust, understanding, compassion, empathy, and respect for your uniqueness and individuality. Counseling fosters personal growth, insight, and finding solutions to life's difficulties. Relationship therapy, whether it be marital, premarital, partner, or family, is a specialty of "pathways" practice. Your therapist will validate your unique experience and perspective while helping you see the beauty in your differences and how those differences can bring balance and harmony, rather than divisiveness. You will be treated with respect, yet challenged to grow and bring greater depth and quality to your relationship.
In addition to counseling, novice clinicians who require supervision before qualifying for a clinical license, can find an experienced supervisor available for consultation. A schedule for the frequency of supervision can be determined based on the needs of the supervisee.
Another service available is life coaching. This is geared toward helping you determine a plan of action toward meeting a personal goal.
Personal exploration and enrichment is yet another focus at pathways. This is not necessarily geared toward solving a problem; the goal is to know yourself more fully so that you can be the unique and wonderful person you are meant to be. |
